it goes around the drum grooves up so that the grooves will be down into the pully on the electric motor

by the way you should be able to remove the front without taking the top off
look at the bottom of the front panel for a couple of screws
remove those and lift the front from the bottom and it should unclip from the top
    and you are very welcome

My Maytag gas dryer, Model No, LDG7500AAW will run but not heat. The igniter glows red, but the gas will not flow. What might be wrong?

Replace the 2 burner coils ,if the igniter keeps cycling trying to start the flame. If it doesn't replace the flame sensor mounted on the side of the burner tube.

, ModelMy Maytag will run but not heat. The igniter coil lights, but the gas does not flow. What may be wrong?

If the igniter works either a valve for gas or the thermocouple are suspect here.

Maytag ldg7500aaw gas dryer. I have replaced the coils, checked the flame sensor and the other sensor on the flame tube. It still ignites then goes off.

How long does the flame stay on? Burner parts, you may have a air flow issue, disconnect the vent from the back of the unit. run the unit. If the unit runs better, the issue is not in the dryer. If while disconnected the unit fail to still run, the problem is internal and will need to be taken apart to clean out the vent system in the door area.
Good Luck

Need to replace dryer belt on maytag LDG7500AAW. Do not have manual, how do you remove front panel?

you have to take the screws off the back first, then you should be able to see along the inside top a few more screws that hold the top on , be careful when you release the top that you dont break the wires to the switches , then you shouldn't have to take the front off ( because sometimes the drum falls ) but try and wiggle the belt between the front and the drum, center it and grease the gears down there while you have it open or you'll have to do that later. Then put the top on make sure you dont catch the wires, then back

Maytag dryer runs and tumbles but will not heat up to dry clothes. model # LDG7500AAW, serial # A3351803. it does have flame but will not stay hot. Is this a thermostat problem?

I would suspect a faulty high limit thermostat is causing this problem. It is usually a small round, black device mounted on a small plate and attached to the internal ductwork with two screws. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Need to change the belt on my Maytag Performa Dryer

The belt is a 341241, a pretty standard belt. To install it you must get the front panel off. Do this by using a putty knife: 549402b.jpgUse this hady DRYER BELT ROUTING guide
