Check the heat lamps, thermistiors, and thermostat in the fusing unit. The thermostat should show 0 ohms. The heat lamp should have some resistance but not be infinite, and the thermistor(s) can be checked by holding the part that rubs the heat roller between your fingers and watching the meter for a gradual change in resistance. Letting go of the thermistor will induce a gradual change in the opposite direction. The thermostat is a redundant system to cut the power to the lamps themselves should the thermistors and the temp control circuit on the main board fail. You can go into service mode and force the lamps on to check the entire heating system but that won't check the temp control part of the circuit.

My canon imagerunner 6000 hangs on starting the machine. It just says wait.....

Most copiers and printers have a mode called power save mode. If the Machine is not in use it saves energy and powers down to a lower level. Once it receives a print job it takes a bit for it to warm up. It can take up to a couple minutes on some machines to do their self test while powering up. As long as it gets to the ready mode to unit is good. On some unit you can disable the power save mode or make the between going into power save mode longer.

Canon code E000001-0002

E000001-0002 refers to the fuser assy either getting to hot or not hot enough. Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine even though that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset the fuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code. To enter the service mode:
press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside)
press the #2 and #8 at the same time (simultaneously)
press "additional functions" again
The display should show a choice of
copier,feeder,sorter,fax,or board service modes
Select copier
select clear
select ERR
press OK
Turn power off & back on.
****IMPORTANT****
After clearing error stay at the machine to see if it comes to ready. The fuser assy can reach 139 degrees C.(Water boils at 100C) The error can only be cleared through the service mode because a technician should inspect the fuser to verify there is nothing faulty that could possibly start a fire. If you enter the service mode & clear the error, power cycle the machine & during warm up the machine throws a code again- turn it off, unplug it & call a tech for fuser repair.

I have downloaded a printer driver for BJC 1000SP for Canon inkjet printer but it i s not win 7 compatible so need help Venugopal

The only way to work around your problem if canon doesn't produce a new Win 7 driver, is to download & install "XP mode" on the win 7 machine. Google it and you will find numerous articles describing how to do this. Once installed, you can open the XP mode and install the printer there. Once you have it installed using the win xp drivers, make sure you click the tab at the top of the screen and select "attach" for the device you require. You have to repeat this attach process each time you open XP mode.

NOTE! XP mode will only work on WIN 7 Pro and upward.

XEROX WORKCENTRE M20 WHEN POWERING UP MACHINE IT WILL NOT COME OUT OF WARM UP MODE. FUSER IS HOT. MACHINE DISPLAY WILL SAY WARMING UP, MACHINE WILL CYCLE, SCANNER WILL MOVE , PRINTING WILL APPEAR ON...

what you want to do is this, turn the machine off. Remove the back cover. Then on the main board you should see a memory stick or 2 depending on the model.
Remove the memory sticks, then power up the machine with them out. Let it come to ready, then re install the memory sticks and power the machine back up to remove any software corruption.

Canon irc2600n is taking time to boot what could be the problem

There is a boot wait timer set for 2 minutes by default on the unit. If the unit is taking longer than that it may be that it is warming up in preparation for printing. If you have warn parts, it may be taking a longer time to fully become ready.

Otherwise, seek support from a trained Canon technician or your Canon dealer.

Most features in service mode are designed for trained technicians. Many options are not labeled and ambiguous and assume you have been trained by Canon for the machine.

The process to enter service mode is available by searching google. I am unable to post it here due to a non-disclosure agreement.

Guides for this are almost impossible to find online, in my experience.

How do I fix this?

please have the check on fuser for damage. Could be a thermistor, thermo switch, or faulty heaters. To clear error, service morefunction/clear/error/ok/ exit service mode and cycle power.

fuser over temp means the fixing assy has exceeded the manufactures maximum temp limits

Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine eventhough that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset thefuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code.To enter the service mode:
press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside)
