Gas or electric? My gas oven would not come on last year. Once I had checked the integrity of the gas supply I researched and found that if the glow bar glows orange instead of white, it is worn out and needs replacing. DIY for about $35. Works wonderfully since the replacement. You can find several "how to" videos on YouTube.

SOURCE: Having taken the oven out to fix a problem with

Both the top and bottom oven will only work if a time (any time) has been set on the clock. Setting the time operates a contact to switch the power through. The only exception is the grill. This will work even if the time has not been set. So if the oven controls/lights and heating work, to me it means that the clock/timer is half working and the only thing that isn't is the display.
I haven't had the clock/timer to bits but a fellow blogger has said that in some timers there is an electrolytic capacitor that controls the display. When this fails as they are renowned for doing, the dispaly mal functions. If there is one then Maplin have some - VHR41W/43W and DT64U depending on value etc. Let us know how you get on.
If you need a new clock/timer they are around £80 from espares.

What can I do about the hobs overheating - when on, they are only on the highest heat and can't be turned down.

THE only solution is to replace the regulators that control the hotplates.
Could prove to be expensive.

How to fix the main oven in our Baumatic range cooker?

Although elements look in one piece they can go 2 ways, short circuit (visible normally by a bulge or tear) or the resistance gets way too high, They should normally be around 30 ohms resistance reading. Use a multimeter and check the ohm's reading of the element

Hi, 3 of the 4 oven hobs have failed to work on the 720ef. only 1 of them heats up now. when you turn the knob of the failed hobs only 1 out of the 3 makes the click noise but still doesnt heat up,...

Normally the 720ef is the oven, the hob is a separate unit and in my case is a STOVES 600G gas unit. Your unit may have a built on hob but the handbook for the 720ef does not detail this. In my case the hob ID is on the lower right hand side of the unit.
I think you will find that the elements may have failed but you will need to identify the hob to ensure correct replacements. Normally the element rating is on the base of the element. The handbook will tell you how to take the thing to pieces. It is possible that the hob element controls have failed but unlikely for all three or it may be a combination of both parts. I think you may have to contact an electrician to test everything to sort this out.

Is this oven suitable to have a Induction Hob

Provided there is a space between the top of the oven and the hob, it should present no problem.
You will of course need a seperate plug outlet for hob

My oven doesn't work. Although the grill and the hob does. I cannot seem to find any obvious reason...

If it is a fan assisted oven, and the fan is working, then you need to replace the oven element.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.
