MX350 Battery fully charged but won't run over 2mph

I have an older electric Razor MX350 dirtbike (101520-04-05090035507). It has sat for about 1 year and I have purchased a new battery. It then ran fine but over a short time always seems like it has a dead battery. Symptoms: 1. When I first attach the charger, it quickly goes to green. 2. When my 42 lb boy rides, the yellow light on the throttle comes on and it goes about 2mph for 50 ft. 3. When I take off the battery covers and measure voltage at the back of the connector with the red and black larger gage wires (maybe 10 gage or so), I read about 25 volts. So, I thought geeze, the battery isn't dead, the power just isn't getting through the controller. So.... 4. With the power turned on, I put my meter to the blue and brown wires out of the controller and throttled up while holding the bike still. I read a max of about 4 volts, but it quickly goes to 0 at about 3/4 throttle. The yellow light for low power remains on if giving throttle while loading the bike by not letting it roll. Do you think it may be: 1. controller 2. bad throttle 3. bad power switch 4. bad motor or something else.... Thanks, Joe

SOURCE: how do i change the rear tier of my razor mx350?

I would take it to a shop only because the tire has to be on almost perfect so there is no wobble. They have the proper equipment to make sure it is aligned properly. If you are going to go around 40-50 mph alignment is critical.Even jumping moguls and turning alignment is critical.

Or are you sure the charger is actually working? Is there a short so that the battery is draining as fast or faster than the charger is providing a charge?

My Dirtbike, wont go after i charge it

Check that the lights on the throttle battery gauge show green. Lift the rear wheel off the ground and apply throttle and watch the lights. If the battery voltage drops under this load, indicated by the light changing to yellow or red, then it is likely the batteries are low in capacity and need replacing. Most battery shops will load test the batteries free of charge to confirm.
If the batteries test OK then it may be a bad connection between the batteries, fuse, switch and controller may also cause the voltage to drop under load,

Low battery backup

Have a read of the trouble shooting guide here,

It sounds like a fault with the charger. Test the charger output with a voltmeter to confirm correct operation. IF OK then check the wiring , fuse, switch conections between the charger and the battery.

I was given a mx350 that has been sitting in a garage for a year I charged it for 8 hours but it does nothing the light comes on to show it has power but when i turn the throttle nothing no sound or...

If it was working before it sat, then it is almost certainly the battery (these kinds of batteries suffer if sitting and not fully charged). If you had one, or could borrow a voltmeter, you could check the batt. Also, lots of car part places like NAPA can test batteries for you.

Hope that helps
