Question about Hitachi WIP-5000 IP Wireless Phone

1 Answer

Date and Time definition

After I define the date and time on the phone, the definitions fall back to its default value after some minutes. I have tried defining it manually or using a time server, but the behaviour is the same in both cases. I would expect the phone to keep the date and time definition all time, even if it looses the wifi network or power. Best regards, Rogerio

Re: Date and Time definition

Does the date/time revert back only after you send/receive a call? If so, it's possible that it's trying to pull the local time from your SIP provider, and either that's not working as it should, or their server has the wrong dame/time set.

How do I manually set the IP address on a mitel 5312 handset?

This process may vary depending on what system you are using and what version but here is how you get into the phone:
1)Hold down the 2 volume keys at the same time and plug the network cable back in all the while holding down the 2 volume keys.

1)When you see "NETWORK PARAMETERS?" release the volume keys.
2)Press the <*> key for YES
3)When you see "VIEW CURRENT VALUES?" press the <#> key for No
4)When you see "VIEW DHCP VALUES?" press the <#> key for No
5)When you see "VIEW STATIC VALUES? press the <#> key for No
6)When you see "VIEW PERSIST. DATA? Press the <#> key for No
7)When you see "MODIFY STATIC VALUE?" press the <*> key for Yes

Again this is for a more up to date version of Mitel firmware. If you see something different let me know.

    Good Luck

My Cisco SPA502G does not ring for incoming calls

It is a problem with the router. if you assign it a public ip adress it will stay on line the other option is a router that will allow consistent nat translation

How do i change the time on nortel t7208 need to push "feature" button at the top of the phone, then * * 2-3-6-4-6 (a.d.m.i.n ), then when phone asks for password, press 2-3-6-4-6 again, default, unless someone has programmed a different one. use the template link below, this fits over the row of keys on the right side of phone. push "next" until you get to "date and time", and then with a combination of "show" and "change" you can get to change time . try it and see how it goes. email me at with questions. link is good for other commands as well. good luck

HOw do you change the time on the mitel 5330 IP phone? mine is an hour out after the clocks have gone back for autumn

You cannot change the time from the phone. Your system administrator must change the time in your PBX. If you have the latest version, you can have your PBX sync with an internet time server and will never have to update again!

How do I change the time in a mitel 5212 IP phone?

Contact your system admin or vendor. The time is set in the phone system, not in the phone.

Change the time on the clock

This must be done on the phone system as the administrator. For 6.0 software go to System-wide settings, set date and time, and you can set it there. For 5.0 and older, go to Tab to it, System configuration, system settings, date and time. Once the time has been set on the phone system the date is updated instantly on the phones (even before your browser finished loading the next page).

How do you change the time on the 5212 phone

The time and date come from the Mitel Telephone system, it would have to be set there.
Each phone gets their information from the system.

Chaging the time on the 5212 IP system

The time and date are a system wide change. If you have access to you ICP, after you gain access the first screen to appear will have three option choose the "Group Administration Tool" click on change date and time and the rest is self explanatory.
