I can run my spa..the heat stays at 99 degrees it wont go up, and the digital display doesnt work. I have replaced the control panel digital display. Do the temp sensors make it not work? Is there a trouble shooting guide for this?

SOURCE: Panel reads "water sensor opened"

I had the same problem. The water sensor is on a pipe running into your pump. It will have a circular clamp around it. Remove the clamp and pull the sensor out of the pipe. The wires should run into your control box. disconnect the wires and replace. My water sensor was part 7790. Not sure if you have the same one. Do an online search. bestbuypoolsupply.com has them for $50 plus 9 for shippng. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Sta Rite Sr333na Max E Therm Pool & Spa Heater gauge stuck?

Anytime the heater is reading the water temp to be above what it actually is, especially 126, the problem is the Thermistor, or Temp Sensor, for the heater. This is a very easy part to replace. The Thermistor is located on the manifold, on the left side, between the top two bolts.

Sorry this is a late response! Hope that it helps!

SOURCE: my spa heater is saying the spa is 126 degrees so

Use a thermometer to check the actual temp of the water to see if the units temp probe is accurate. Also what is the max temp allowed by the spas safety program...owners manual.

Bought a used dakota spa. All works great but the tub has been inching higher on the temp. Now at 110 degrees. Took the cover off and ran the blower , but did not cool off. Aside from adding more water....

You have a "runaway" heater. The temperature should NEVER surpass 104 degrees. There are redundant sensors supposed to keep this from happening. Get a spa tech out there, you have a hazardous situation.

Spa / hot tub does not heat

Your temperature control is way out of calibration or, it's wired wrong. Remove it and check it in a glass of water. Use an ohm meter across the heater wires. As you add hot wwater, the heater contacts should open.

When I change the temp. setting it keeps heating at original temp

The keypad appears to working correctly.

When you alter the set temperature via the keypad the display will flash the temperature thats to be acheived, once it stops flashing the keypad will revert back to the current temperature of the water.

Hope that helps,
Ian.
