Question about Poulan Wild Thing 2375 18" Gas Chain Saw 2.5 Cuin

Craftsman 358.360280 42cc seems to be starving for gas

The saw is 5 years old. When cranked it would seem to be starving for gas and you had to keep it reved up to keep it running and if you let it sit for a while it would crank up and run for a second but if you choked it it would run a little longer. I replaced the gas hoses and filter now it will crank up and run but if you try to run it wide open or idle it will die out. I wonder could I have the gas lines that go to the primer reversed? What would you recommend at this point.

Since i have replaced the "Kit-oil pump" the guide bar oil runs out first than the fuel.
the normal operation should be, guide bar oil and fuel should run out equally.

If the cap rotor and plug wires are original, I would look at them first.
Also check the condition of the plugs.

I have a 345 e Series 18" (I think it's 18). It's a couple of years old and probably no more than 3-5 total hours usage. Normally starts and runs perfect. Today it won't run, seems to be starving for gas....

If stale fuel has been left in the saw then try draining the tank and re filling with fresh fuel, also hook the fuel line out of the fuel tank and replace the filter on the end.

Sears 10 inch Radial Saw wont run

Try blowing out the motor with compressed air, while rotating the blade by hand. (unplug it first.) Then press really hard on the reset, as sometimes they won't move much at all but will have popped. Use a center punch gently if you have to to push on it. If that doesn't yield results, I'd try spinning the blade by hand a bit and then pulling the start switch to turn the motor on. I once got one to crank up again by doing this, and it continued to work afterwards. (Be careful!) Seems like they are like old starters sometimes that get dead spots in the windings....
I know those are pretty basic ideas, but I have one I've managed to keep running for years as well, and would hate the thought of having to replace it... Also seems to me once I had to remove the cover from the motor and repair a shorted wire inside that was touching metal somehow. And that was only apparent after a similar jam of some sort, as I recall...
Best of luck and encouragement, anyway!

Husqvarna 357 XP Hard starting when warm.

I work for warcks county council, the husky 357xp is our main saw. We've experienced the same problem with many of our new 357's. after many hours of trying to solve the problem (including swapping carbs from old broken saws etc) i stumbled upon, by fluke i'm afraid, a problem with the ngk bpmr7a spark plugs. They seem to work fine for a short period of time (even new out of the box) then leak compression from the cylinder. We are running a esser rated bosh spark plug which seems to have eliminated the problem, (can't remember the number, sorry). We have now ordered champion plugs to replace the stock. Probably worth a try. Hope this is of some help.
