Question about Samsung SGH-r225m
Even with a fully charged battery, I cannot get connected to the phone. I get a message-"the power is switched off". I tried switching power off-on, cleaning the SIM etc. But no improvement
It looks like battery is damaged... When plugged in to charger phone shouldn't power on. Try put it on charger when on and see if charging icon appear. (top right corner-battery status icon should change -insted of battery to charging.) Battery is fully charged after cca 4 hours, 80% after 2 hours.

Testimonial: "Phil has reported the correct solution to my problem and I have a new Sim Card - thank you very much"
Usually these problems only occur when the phone is substandard. regardless of you switching the phone off or not this is not a prerequisite to not come on. If you still have warranty on it return it.
Most times when this problem arises in phones it is because the phone was a refurbished one. Refurbished phones are phones which are made up of the scraps from other spoilt similar devices. It usually is a waste to try and fix these devices because you will end up spending more than the cost of replacing the device.
Hope this solution has been helpful?
