Question about Computers & Internet
I have a Sony viao PCG-7V2L and my battery wont charge and I cant run in on ac power. any suggestions what to do. Any way to avoid a new motherboard? Any help is appreciated
You can try hooking up a voltage meter to the power supply and make sure it reads out 19.5 (in my case, I get 19.51). Then take off the bottom plate (very easy to remove once you remove all the screws on the bottom side of this laptop). Then check the cable where the power lead connects to the motherboard and make sure it also reads 19.5. In many cases, I've had to just replace the short cable that comes in from where the power supply hooks up and then connects to the motherboard.
