Question about Element Electronics FLX3220F 32 in. LCD TV

Element 32" LCD TV has gone dead in 5 months

We have bought a bunch of these Element 32" LCD FLX3220F TV's together from Circuit City and installed them in our apartments about 5 months ago. They are going dead one at a time. I know it is not the screen, because it turns on for a second and shuts off right away, every time. If they would say as to "What" exactly is the problem, it may be a metter of a few pennies to replace whatever is wrong with it. These chicken Sh**s keep tossing you around without an answer.

Can some one tell me as to whether or not it is a burnt out or deffective chip, or a programing issue, or what?!

    Many thanks for your advice!

Wow, that was many months ago but I appreciate the response anyway. Out of curiosity, where from would you order the additional transformer and/or the board and at what cost? Thanks

I had the same issue with my element flx3220f. it would turn on then go right back off. i did some research and found the the problem was one of the transformers for the back light.

First tings first, make sure the TV is unplugged for about an hour before you go poking around in there.

if you remove the back of the tv you will see 6 of them in a row on a circuit board. you will need an ohm meter to check them. next to each of the 6 transformers there is a white 2 wire plug. Unplug the wires from the board and test the two pins inside the plug on the board. there should be a resistance value (mine were all around 8 to 9 M-ohms). if you find one with out a value then you have found your bad transformer. simply solder a new one into the board and that *should* solve your problem.

-or-

if you dont have the ability to solder circuit boards then the other option is to replace the entire board.

The part number for the transformer is : LTZ2PCOMS008
Element 32
The part number for the entire board is: 1FSA10164

I had to replace the #3 transformer in my tv and now it works fine. im going to buy a spare transformer just in case.

I have same issues....apparantly it is some bad cheap chinese circutry in the boards...look for blown caps on your board and replace with similiar at Radio Shack.  if it is only 5 months old i would return them as they should still be under warrenty. http://www.audiolabga.com/pdf/FLM3232.pdf  service manual if you are so inclined.

I have am Element TV no picture just sound. Please advise

Hi Vee Jay,
No picture just sound means you are not able to see the picture because there is no back light. Inverter board is the culprit in most cases.
Good luck.

Dead on audio or video

If the TV is dead, first place to look will be the power supply, look for 5VDC, 12VDC, and 24VDC at the output connector of the power supply.

HDMI IMPUT NOT WORKING...NO SIGNAL.I HAVE A 32'' ELEMENT LCD I BOUGHT FROM CIRCUIT CITY IN 2007 AND HAS BEEN WORKING FINE UNTIL YESTERDAY WHEN A BLUE SCREEN SAID NO SIGNAL.HAVE YOU HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS...

The only was to be sure is to try a different device connected and cable. Try the device you has issues with your TV on another TV if you do not have other devices. Try also a different port to check if the physical port has gone bad. If all would not make a difference, your digital board may have gone bad.

I just bought a Element 32LEOQ and the sounds goes off after 15 minutes

Try hooking up the powered PC speakers to the Audio line output RCA jacks, if the sound does not cut out, then the problem is in the power amp sections that drive the speakers, it may be over heating and shut itself off, most Class D amplifier are used in the flat screen TV will shutdown if it is over heating or short circuits.
