Question about RCA HD50LPW175 50" HDTV
I have a RCA HD50LPW166. I was watching TV and heard a loud pop. Now I have no picture but I still have sound. Does this sound like a bulb issue? Any help would be great. Also I'm looking for a user manual for this as well.
Just had the same problem.
Unplugged the set from 110V.
Replaced the bulb, following instructions in owners manual.
Plugged the set back in and it worked 100%.
Bought the bulb from Tristate Module Inc. www.tristatemodule.com for $113- including shipping.
User manual can be found www.tv.rca.com
click on TV's,
click GO in Downloads, enter your screen size and model number.
click on User Guide & Warranty
A 96 page pdf user guide will display.

Sounds like it could be your power supply board. Same kind of issue i had. Try unplugging your tv completely for an hour.
