Question about ViewSonic P815 21" CRT Monitor
I need to calibrate my monitor Viewsonic P815 and don't know how. My printer is a Brother 420CM. I work on a MacG4OSX. How do I go about this.
Flyback has given up the ghost at this point on computer monitors there not worth fixing because flat panels are cheaper now a days but you can use best buy recycle program to see if you can get soemthing back for it www.bestbuy.com if you find this information useful please rate fixya when your rating thanks.

either the bulb/tube has deteriorated. or long shot but happened to our old telly and that was, the power cable solder joints had worn loose.
If you feel capable of yeilding a solder gun then read on.
ANY LOOKING OR OPENING UP OF TV CASES MAY VOID ANY WARRANTIES. YOU MUST UNPLUG ANY POWER LEADS AND AVOID TOUCHING THE TUBE END INSIDE THE UNIT AT ALL COSTS. speech over we shall continue...
remove back of telly and carefully arrange screws in a circle shape to mimic their removal locations. trace the power lead cable physically by following the lead to the motherboard. to the man in the street thats the platform where all the components sit. the cable will be soldered to this board. visually check to see if there is a sound solid solder joint, marrying the two as one. if these are loose then you might be in luck.
resolder joints, cleaning off any residue of flux. replace back cover and power up.
Hope this helps
