Logitech attack 3 joy stick does not work in my xp

The joystick should come with a USB cable to connect to the computer. Once you have connected the joystick to the computer go to your control panel and click on the Printers and Other Hardware. Next you can click on Game Controllers, next you click on add and click on how many buttons there on the joystick (Example: 4 buttons joystick w/throttle). Once you have completed these steps you want to click on the controller then click on properties to give your joytick a test run before you play a game you have.
I hope this information can help you and hope you enjoy your games that you use with your joystick.

After watching a movie, my joystick suddenly stopped working. The Computer was shut down accidentaly, but i don't think that that should really ahrm it. any advice as to why my computer is unable to locate...

Hi, Please uninstall any LGS version present on your OS - Then please proceed to clean boot. ( ) -> Unplug all the USB devices connected to the computer ( Less keyboard + mouse ) please use corded kbd+mouse if possible rather than a cordless device. -> Go to device manager -> Delete all the USB HOST CONTROLLER -- All of them -- -> The host controller might reinstall them itslef, let the computer handle the reinstallation -> If the computer does not reinstall the host controllers, trigger the detection using the DM function " Scan for new hardware " ( The computer with magnifier icon ) -> Once reinstalled, clean boot -> Reinstall the software, plug the hardware when needed. -> Should work.
This TB delete the usb ports " memory " means if a device as been previously flagged with error, it will redetect the device without the flag, unless there is some serious issue with the hardware/OS
If after this the issue persist, then I suggest you to call Logitech support to issue a replacement, hardware failures are covered by warranty terms

Unable to get my joystick to operate

Hi, As the Force 3D does not have any indicator lights or LED's. When the joystick is powered and detected by the computer, the handle will self center and there will be resistance when you move it. When the joystick is not detected or is not getting power from the A/C adapter, the handle will not be centered and will be loose. In this case, first check to make sure that the power supply is plugged into a working power outlet.
--> If this does not happen then you should directly contact logitech for replacement as this is an hardware failure.
Otherwise all the troubleshooting for this issue is explain here:
This should solve your issue ! Please check as well if your operating system is supported:
If it's not in the list then your OS is unfortunalty not supported. Thanks and have a nice day

Hi I have windows vista and im trying to play an old game called USAF 15.. The bottons will work during the game but the joystick will not controll the plane. In my control panel the joystick works fine...

Go into the settings for the game and check and make sure that the game is detecting the X and Y-axis. You might need to check enable joystick or some similar option.

Doesnt work when i push or pull on the stick

If it's anything like an authentic joystick control, there may be a switch where your fingers rest which must be gripped/engaged in order to achieve movement, but i've never actually seen this controller so I can't be certain.

Error message on driver install

Isn't this joystick about 10 years old? If so, the CD provided could be overwriting important OS files with older versions. If you can't update the drivers via control panel, I would call/email them for updated software or a fix.

Logitech attack 3 joystick-does it work with my IL-2 Sturmovik game?

First, check your game documentation to see if your game supports the use of a joystick. Most First Person Shoot 'em Ups do not support joysticks, and only supports mice/gamepads.

If joysticks are supported in your game, please read on...

Make sure that your joystick is properly installed and detected by your computer. You can check in Device Manager or Control Panel > Game Controllers. Also make sure you have the latest software (LGS/WingMan) installed.

Next, you will have to create a new profile for your game in the WingMan Profiler:
  1. Open the Logitech Profiler™ by clicking "Start", "Programs", "Logitech", and then "Launch Logitech Gaming Software".
  2. Click "Profile" from the pull down menus.
  3. Select "New..."
  4. Type in the name of the game the profile is being created for.
  5. In the next field, type the path to the game's executable file. It the exact path is not known, use the "Browse" button.
  6. Select an icon for this game profile and click "OK"
A profile for the game has now been created; however, game commands must also be entered. For information on how to do this, please see Knowledege Base article 274.

Hope that helps.

Please dont forget a FixYa rating if this solution was helpful. Thanks in advance.

Vista OS

It does not work with vista at least not for me. And besides with XP and Vista you shouldn't have to install it anyway as both OS's have a feature called plug and play which means that when you plug it in via a USB port Windows Xp automatically recognize it and its driver. Thats one thing about XP thats so great XP just about recognizes every joystick and game pad driver there is without installing the pads software.
