Nedd to Find Non Standard Screw Size Required for Hinge

Hi, I have a Kennore front load washer with rusted hinges and screws. I bought the hinges from Sears Parts direct but they do not come with screws. I purchased 2 thinking it was two sets as they charge $3 for them but found out that is per screw when I only received 2 screws! I've tried to find these screws everywhere but no one carries them as it is apparantly a #8 screw with a #6 head. It is a flat head, Phillips head screw, silver in color and threading looks like a wood screw. Home Depot said it is not a rust proof type. Do you know of anywhere else to purchase 16 of these screws? They are 3/4" long for the washer door hinges but the dryer uses the same hinge with a shorter screw. Sears sku# is 134424700. Only description is "screw, comb fla" shows "49-H10-31" and "L 23 022 Z 317". Tried a regular #8 but screw does not sit flat so door wouldn't be able to close properly. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Go to any hardware store and purchase plastic anchors for the #6 screws. Tap the anchor and then your screw will fit and snug down as it should.

How do install the door hinge to a LG Washer Model WM1812CW? What is the size of the screws and do you need a nut to secure the hinge to the frame of the washer?

No nuts required, but the original screws are installed with lock tight, and are very difficult to remove. Taking the entire front panel off the machine and then heating the screw with a pencil thin torch generally helps. If I remember correctly, the screws are 10 mm.

I have a maytag front load mah4000aww. i replaced the wax motor and motor board put it back together. when i tried to wash a load water started to come out of the door. any suggestions would be gratefully...

The door is most probably out of alignment with the front shroud. Slightly loosen the door hinge screws and close the door firmly making sure it is fully and evenly seated into the shroud. Retighten the lower hinge screw but not fully tight. Retighten the upper hinge screw but not fully tight. Fully retighten the lower hinge screw then the upper hinge screw.

I have bought a new door hinge for a hotpoin wd63p washer dryer but was wonderig do you have to take the front of the washing machine or the rubber

hi from uk easiest way is to turn off/remove water supply hoses disconnect power then remove top screws from rear panel(these also secure top panel if yo look ?) then lift rear of top panel slightly and pull back/then lift off you now have access to rear of front panel where door hing is secured by 2 screws from the front of panel/hing into a metal plate theaded inscrew door from plate whilst you hold plate thenremove door with hinge assy you will now see the inner plastic cover of door is secured remove this cover to access hinge screws renew hinge and whilst door is at this point might as well lift glass window and clean any **** around the edge ? reassemble in reverse to strip down hope this is clear enough for you ? good luck

Door hinge

Firstly if you haven't already done so remove the door and the old Hinge. You can do this by undoing the screws at the back that hold the top of the machine on and remove the top of machine. Now you will see a piece on the inside where the hinge screws into. Hold onto this piece and undo the screws from the outside. Carefully remove the inside piece (because I dropped mine inside and it took me an age to get it out!!). Now undo the screws on the door and pull it apart. Replace the old hinge and screw door back together. Now holding the inside piece back in original position screw the hinge and back onto the machine. (You might need someone to hold the door in place for you....it makes it much easier). Finally screw the top of the machine back on.
