Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Whirlpool GHW9200LW front load washer selector switch position and corresponding light do not match. Switch Position - Light position Sanitary - no light whites - quick Heavy duty - normal normal - normal quick - quick delicate - delicate silk - silk wool - silk hand washable - delicate soak - no light rinse/spin - drain/spin drain/spin - drain/spin. I already replaced the computer which did not help. If the problem is the selector switch, can I spray contact cleaner on it? Thanks

Whirlpool washer model GHW9200LW, THE CODE HF comes up ,tried the recommended fixes from the troubleshooting guide, but no luck

HF = High Fill
This can be caused by using non HE detergent in your front load. Put the washer in a cold rinse for a couple of cycles to clean the excess soap and try the cycle again using HE detergent. If the problem returns you may have a pressure switch or hose that will have to be replaced.

Help

al indesit washer have a reset pattern
switch of with on/off button
turn selector to a large 'off dot' position
wait a couple of mins then switch back on
wait 2 mins
then switch off again and turn selector to a cycle start position
wait 2 mins turn back on and let it run the FULL cycle do not mess it about.
Sometimes it takes 2 or3 attempts so be patient

If there is a fault it will appear again within the cycle and give you an error code eg E7/E1 etc note this and call a repair man he will track it from this code.
