A high pitch whine is typically the sign of a short. Its the switching power supply turning on and off at a fast rate and your hearing the unit "whine" because of the fast pace it does this at. Best bet is to have a tech troubleshoot it.

Hello i have a panasonic TC-P50S1 plasma tv (2009) and it does not turn on properly anymore. You turn it on and then it turns off and start to blink repeatedly.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

I have a 51" Panasonic Rear Projection HDTV,

Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

Hello, my tv doesn't work, the led get 9 times it doesn't work anymore sony wega 2005

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service

TV shut off and cannot turn back on

If your tv is around 2-4 yrs or used 6000-8000 hrs, never replaced the lamp before it could be time to replace it.The other most common failure is the board that powers the lamp, which is called the ballast. When its bad it will make a clicking sound or like wanting to turn on.The part # for your lamp is TYLA1000 you can find it here:http://www.discount-merchant.com/Panasonic-TY-LA1000-Lamp-DLP-TV-bare-lamp-p/panasonic-ty-la1000-lamp.htm Good luck and God bless you!
