I have a Compaq Presario Desktop and when I attempt to use video on Skype my computer restarts. The MS LifeCam works fine with Messenger... Does that seem like a Microsoft attempt at monopolizing to anyone else? Does anyone have a solution. I reinstalled the LifeCam software and still have the same problem.

Skype was playing up with an older Logitec device, so I bought a QuickCam E1000 just today - within minutes of loading the drivers and updating the software to v11.80.1065.0000, I suffered a blue screen - when the PC was restarted, I tried the camera again - this time the PC froze completely and I had to hard-boot.

You probably don't have enough memory installed in your computer. Check to see how much you have as this will cause this problem. Hope this is of some help. Bud

I can't sign in my yahoo messenger

Few sugesstions :
1) Uninstall your current YM, restart your pc/laptop, then try installing a new one. Link : a) http://www.mydigitallife.info/yahoo-messenger-10-final-full-version-offline-standalone-setup-installer-download/ b) http://www.geckoandfly.com/6309/download-yahoo-messenger-10-full-offline-installer-15-8mb/
2) If it does not work, try check if your windows is installing new updates, sometimes YM does crash when window is updating. If you are using Win7, then just go to: --> Control panel/ System & security/ Windows Update/ Change setting
In the setting panel, you will see "Important Updates" box selection. Change it to "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download & install them". Restart your pc/laptop, then try log in to your YM.
3) If it still crash, then your internet connection might be the problem, & also, Yahoo! can be down sometimes too.
