Question about RCA HD52W58 52" TV

Tv not powering on

A couple days ago I went to turn my tv on and when I pushed the power button there was no activity coming from the tv. the only thing that happened was the light on the power button would blink. I tried unplugging the tv and noticed that even when the tv was unplugged the button still blinked for a couple mins. I left the tv unplugged over night and the next day I plugged it in and tried again and the tv turned on and everything worked. the next time I went to use the tv the same thing happened and it hasn't turned on since. I know theres nothing wrong with the screen or sound cause it worked ok after the problem started. if anyone could identify the problem and provide me with a solution that would be great. I'm trying to avoid payin a lot of money for a technician.

As per your statement there is a loose contact in power supply section of your tv. it is 1oo% sure that allthe parts are ok as tv runs ok when it comes on. but you will have to call tech. as without knowing technology it is dangerous to open tv due to high voltage.

Bush lcd42f1080p100hz remote will not turn tv on

I had come home about a week ago and pushed the power button from my remote but my tv did not respond. So I just went to the front panel and pushed power but once the tv turned on, the volume was on full blast! I used the front panel volume decrease to get the volume down, but when I stopped pushing the button, the tv increased its volume to full blast again by itself! Naturally I just turned the tv off for a few moments. I tried the remote again, no response again, so I used the panel power button. The tv volume was still full blast when it turned on but after I decreased the volume it stayed this time. The picture is and has been perfectly fine and the tv was working fine. The next day the problem started all over and now once we turned it off from frustration of having to manually use the panel to change channels, it now will not turn on at all. I have changed batteries from my remote, reprogrammed my remote, pushed system reset several times, unplugged it for a while, bought a new surge charge, and even held the menu and device panel buttons for 10 sec and tried to turn the t.v. on again! What other options do I have or what may be the issue at hand and possible parts that may need to be replaced?? Thanks!!

I put a new bulb in the tv about 3 months ago. I was watching the tv the other day and turned it off when done. I went to turn it back on the other day and it does nothing, no red, green, yellow blinking...

Try pushing in the reset button on the front panel, its very small and you will need a pin to push it in. Do this while the TV is plugged in, then power it on again see what it does. If still nothing then the FMT board is developing a known fault. You will need to replace the FMT board if reset doesn't work....
Also..
It could be a fan issue, if one of the fans in the TV stop working this will cause the TV not to power up too.
Let me know what you find...

I was watching TV and suddenly the screen went black. No picture, no sound. On/off timer LED on TV started blinking. I could not turn it on (or off) with remote or ON switch on TV. I found that if I...

The television is shutting itself off to protect itself. The blinking light is a code pattern. The specific code determines whether or not you need an LCD Controller Unit, Main Board, power supply or something else. You would need the service manual. There are parts distributors you can get it from and the parts as well. If soldering and tv repair is not something you are entirely familiar you may want to seek a tv repair person. The manufacturer's support may walk you through the service menus to complete a factory reset depending upon the symptoms.
