Hi wildcatlee,

I would love to help you with your problem. OK so if they chainsaw appears to be flooded or is flooded take it apart start by taking off any covers. Then there should be a little carburetor take that off and clean it out real good blow it with the air compressor. Open the chainsaw and find where the pistons at if you find it then blo that out with air from an air compressor real good. now put it all back together and it should start. One last thing take off the spark plug and clean it and put some gas on it, It should work now

Could be. Did you turn the fuel valve off last night?
Try starting with no choke holding throttle open about half way..

Take Breather element off,and try to start it Then or if it starts that way cut it off and replace the breather and if it doesn't start You May need to change spark plug also, As if You have flooded it, Gasoline will kill a spark plug

My 84 chevy slverado won't start. It was starting fine until someone changed the plugs today and now it wont start

double check the wires and make sure the firing order did not get mixed up. This can cause a no start, the vehicle will sound like it wants to go but just floods instead. Good Luck

While trying to start the saw the compression is so great that it is near imposible to pull the start rope ....ie won't spin fast enough to start ... new plug ,,,, new gas .....no start ,,,tired arm...

If the carb is flooding it will fill the cylinder with fuel, this will cause a hydralic lock, making it near impossible to crank the engine, remove the spark pluf, turn the ignition off, crank the engine, if fuel pours out of the plug hole then it is well flooded, you will need to get a pressure test on the carb to check the needle is not leaking, this will be the quickest way to check the carb.

Try a new spark plug and make sure gap is .030.and check the air clener and make sure it is not plugged up.you can clean it with soap and water then dry it out.if this doe,s not work you have a carb problem.

i'll bet you have it flooded. Try a dry sparkplug. pull it over a few times with the plug out to help dry the cylinder out too

Stihl ms-250 won,t start , and gas leaking from under the exhaust manifold , also plug seems not to be spaking even when dry . every time i try to start engine it floods . ?? the saw is only 3 mths old ....

You may need a carb rebuild kit. they are thin rubber diaphrams and will harden up and warp if not used regularly or if the fuel is improperly mixed.
These are easy to flood if you pull them too many times on choke. Pull it on HALF choke until it pops. then turn the choke off, into the run (I) position and pull it until it starts.
If it's flooded, remove teh plug under the cover, blow off the sparking end and pull the engine a few times without the plug. this will empy the cylinder. WATCH YOUR EYES!

you need to open the carb up and take the old fuel line out of the carb filter.....if it is left.the needle is probaly stuck in the open possition letting to much fuel to go to cylinder
