Question about Kenmore 62622 Microwave Oven
I have a kenmore microwave hood combination Model # 721.62642.
The display panel is saying the door is not closed. IAfter punching the desired time on the control panel I then try to start the microwave and it will not start. I keep clearing the keypad and opening and closing the microwave door. It takes several trys to get the microwave to finally turn on.
How do I fix this problem? Is it a door sensor problem or a keypad senor problem?

You put a mounting plate on the wall behind where the unit will be mounted. Then the microwave hooks onto the bottom of the mounting plate and you swing it up to the cabinet above it. Then you must screw 2 mounting screws through the floor of the cabinet above into the bracket on top of the microwave.

Hi, this is a major chip fault. this chip is located on the control board and, it is responsible for initiating the cooking cycle correctly. you will need to replace the control board asap. it has failed.

If and when an oven
is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and
can result in a fire.
So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and please do not leave it running unattended.
You have a shorting membrane keypad.
On some models, you have to peel off the old one and replace it.
On some models, you remove your controller and move your ciruit boar dinto a new frame with a keypad already installed.
