My Canon iRC2550i displays E000748-001 & prompts to shut down. Pl. explain the cause of this problem & way to rectify it. If that's not possible, show me the link/s to download the iRC2550i Service Manual.

Installing a printer without disks can be tedious and not having the disks can cause your machine not operate to full capability. If you are using Windows XP or later operating systems: a) Shut down computor b) connect the machine via cables allow windows to discover. Possible that the hardware drivers must be reinstalled . So reset the PC by restoring to an earlier set point. If not it is best to reinstall the OS- operating software and then the hardware drivers.
There is a high possibility that there is virus that had hung the system and so a reinstallation will confirm. If not there is fault on the hardware.

Could be a possible error except if the cable you have connected is having this code come up. so make sure if the display code is on the TV and not onthe signal.
If so at the time of the error, make sure the possibility of any external prompts is occuring at this time .
remove the main board and fix back all connectors, test again.
Make sure the mP is working with with the right voltage and no prompts are possible. .. even an external IR from a remote.
