- when i attempt to download my pictures from my camera to my personal computer ,as soon as it identifies my camera as # F , then it disappears and can't be found again until I restart my computer. But when i try to download them onto my work computer or a flash drive then all i get is an "input/ output error" and nothing. I have had this camera for 2 years and have never had a problem downloading my pictures until now. Can you please help me with any suggestions? Thank you. - shyrockerJul 24, 2008

- we can't get the pictures to come off the camera when we plug it in and call up the program you then double click and you just get the hourglass for ever and the program says not responding when you try to quit and start again you must litter-ly turn your computer off to try again from the surge protector. I have reinstalled and un-installed the program so many times. i am very frustrated. please help before i have to take it back.- GuestSolution #1

Hi,
All digital cameras have interface/connector that you can hook up to your computer. Most common is by USB connector/cable. Except for some models/brands, most when connected to the computer would be recognized and treated by the PC as an external drive (say "E" or "F"). Double clikcing on the the said external/removable drive would display the folder/s where you pictures or stored. It is then a matter of copy/paste or drag & drop to a new/specific folder in your "C" hard drive.
If you need specific software that goes/facilitates this feature/function, you have to post back with the brand/model of your digicam.

Perhaps I misunderstood your question, "HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD PICTURES ONTO MY COMPUTER FROM MY CAMERA ALSO SOFTWARE"
How to download you need to connect your camera, if for some reason that does not work, pls try a memory card reader where you can insert the memory card of your camera. If that still fails, it may be due to a corrupted memory card;
Software - since your heading was "Generic problem for all Digital Cameras" a software has to be specific to a model and/or brand, hence my request for your camera's brand and model.
I hope that the misunderstanding would be cleared up.
