Question about Admiral 26 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator

1 Answer

Buzzing sound clicks on and off from underneath fridge

I have an Admiral 26cu ft side by side fridge. Just recently I hear a loud buzzing, electrical sound from underneath the front of the fridge. Goes for about 20 seconds then clicks off. Quite loud. Not related to ice maker. Fridge and freezer still work fine as does Ice machine. What is the noise and how do I stop it???

Admiral refridgerator model lsd2615hez is making a buzzing sound every 2 minutes. The buzzing sound lasts 20 seconds and everything in the freezer is melting. What could be causing this?

what you are hearing is the compresor trying to start . and can not so the over load is shutting down . and when it cools it will try again .. you need to replace the starting device on the compressor .cost about 80.00 parts .. most models . some are more. and the melting is caused by no comp runing .. this is a very common problem .. hope this helps mm feed back pls .

Sorry to hear about your problem.
Your main control card is defective. and or your compressor is causing the card to fail, or the card is trying to start the compressor.

You will need to call a service company to resolve your issue.

My fridge doesn't seem to get cold enough anymore. There's water dripping from the ice tray last night. I hear a buzz sound, like the fridge is trying to start up, but then nothing happens. Any ideas ?

replace the rtc overload contactot located on the side of the units compressor,it is defective and not letting the compressor start and then go to run properly, its easy to install, just unplug the bad one and replace it

Admiral Refrigerator makes hollow ice

Hollow ice cubes are due to low water pressure to the fridge. Water thru the door should have good pressure behind it. This is a good indicator of water pressure. Should be able to fill a glass quickly. Causes for low pressure are self-piercing saddle valves on the water line (switch to drill type (1/4") valve) or reverse osmosis system or filtering system on water line to the fridge. R.O. systems should not be used. Increase water pressure and that will fix the hollow cubes. The loud noise may be the sound of the water valve on the fridge when it is acivated. This sound is normal and some are louder than others.
