Question about Dewalt 2 Hp 4 GAL Air Compressor

1 Answer

I need motor brushes for campbell hausfeld WL611105AJ air comp.

One of the brushes in my electric motor fell apart. The numbers on the motor are MC030100AV
LR40116 120V 60Hz
NL 745538
Thermal Protection

Do you know if I purchase new motor brushes so I don't have to buy a new motor or a new compressor?

If you can find a match to the brushes that came out of the motor they will work. When I say match, I mean the size. Height, width and depth, length only needs to be close to allow for wear over time. The longer the brush the more wear you will get. If you can't find the exact size then you can always file a larger brush to fit. I just had to do that for a small motor in my shop-vac, works great. Also another consideration is how the line coming off the back of the brush connects to the Stator. If you can't match the connector soldering it is fine or crimp the appropriate connector to it. Beyond those two elements brushes are pretty much the same.

Your biggest problem is finding an assortment of brushes. Some hardware stores will carry some, (check the bins with all the small nut, bolts and other connectors), also automotive parts stores carry them, (for alternators),. Your best bet would be an electric motor repair shop.
Good luck

Where to find replacement carbon brushes Campbell Hausfeld pressure washer pw1350

Parts for Campbell Hausfeld can be found at Campbell Hausfeld does not however, sell motor parts for many of their tools. You would have to call their 800 number and speak with a parts person to determine availability. You may be able to purchase a close match at a local True Value hardware store. They sell a variety of brushes for many major brands of tools. Purchase a slightly larger set of brushes and sand them to size. If the connector is different, cut off the old connector and solder it to the new brush.

Im trying to find brushes for my electric motor in my husky air compressor mod# 417-270

I have not been able to find brushes for your type of compressor. I find a close match on ebay and shave/sand to size. Measure your brushes. Search ebay for "carbon brushes" looking for best price and size needed. Make sure that the armature is still good because the brushes will wear very fast if arm. is bad. Good luck

I have a campbell hausefield vs series air comp and when it reaches full air supply and shuts off air leaks (alot) out of the switch i replaced and nothing changes.

There is a check valve on the tank where the line from the pump goes to. It should also have a smaller line running to the pressure switch. If the valve or spring inside is broke or stuck it will leak as you describe. You need Campbell Hausfeld part number CV221502AJ.

Campbell hausfeld paint sprayer has no suction

The same thing happened to me before if the paint is too thick. Another reason was when the gun toppled over and paint went into the spring and needle in which case you will have to take it apart and clean it.
