I would disconnect the power cord and battery (just flip it over and there should be relatively easy access to the battery) and then turn it back on. it should come back online and allow you to configure everything. if it's still crashed out, I would use the 10.5 disc they include with your new macbook and follow its prompts to reinstall. if it asks what kind of install you want, erase and install would be it.

I hope that you are just able to power cycle it though.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Kernal panic alert screen will not respond

Well, if you erase the wrong files, you'll sure get a kernel panic.
To power down your PowerBook when there is a kernel panic on the screen (or any frozen state) you have to hold the power button for 10-15 seconds until the Mac shuts off. Then you can restart it.
If you deleted too many of the wrong files, it may not restart to your satisfaction. :-(

Apple mac g4 laptop wont come on

Kernel panics are not what you have, you have a flashing question mark, it indicates there is a problem with either the hard drive or the operating system on the hard drive.

Kernel panics are different, the unit tries to start and then the unit crashes with a "kernel panic"
