Question about MySpace Social Network
I'm running Windows XP. When I go to ANY myspace site the Audio tracks don't play. At the bottom of the screen it says "Waiting for reply from myspace" and stays there. I can see that the Audio never loads on the bar below the player. If there is a video with an audio track it will play. It seems the problem is just with the Audio Player. Have tried different browsers, turning off Virus protection and Firewalls. It works fine on my Mac laptop so I'm guessing there is a setting in my desktop computer that has changed. Any ideas? Thanks!
I'm wondering if you can't play .mp3, .wav or other audio files on your computer, or just Internet Explorer, or just specifically myspace.
First try: Open Internet Explorer. Select Tools from the Menu list. (If you do not have a menu list, right click the gray area below the url bar and select menu bar from the drop down list)
Select Internet Options from the Tools Menu. Select the Advanced Tab. Scroll down to the Multi-Media heading. Make sure that "Play sounds in web pages" is checked. Close Internet Explorer, re open and test.
