Question about HP Computers & Internet
It could actually be a number of problems. Seeing as it doesn't do it when you connect to another monitor, that eliminates a couple of parts. It could either be the LCD or the LCD cable. The LCD cable, would be the cheaper to fix, although you can find the screen itself on Ebay for anywhere from $50-$100, depending on size, finish, etc. If you read the full description of the sale and contact the seller with questions about the condition of the LCD, then that would be your best bet.
Also, if the computer is still in warranty, you should be able to simply call HP and send it in to be fixed.
