Plantronics 520 headset I want to be able to answer my home phone with the headset

I would like to use my Plantronics 520 headset with my PC phone modem. I have bluetooth on the PC and a standard phone modem (I want to be able to answer my home phone with the headset)

Not sure if the '520' is a wireless headset for cell phones, or if it comes with a base transmitter unit and is made for desk phone. If it is designed for cell phone, then you have to have some sort of bluetooth transmitter for the PC phone (note that wireless is not the same as bluetooth). Check your computer store for small bluetooth adapter that plugs into USB port of computer.

You must make sure that the headset is flashing red / blue, that tells you that it is in pairing mode and ready to match with your cell phone.

Try deleting the headset out of your phone and then re-pair it back up and see if that corrects the problem.

Cannot pair my nokia N6730c with plantronics voyager 520

You want to remember that newer phones are like small computers, so
they may become corrupt over time and you may need to reset them every
so often. Simply turn your phone off and remove again the battery for
a few seconds, then replace the battery and turn it back
on again. Then carefully follow the pairing instructions in the attached link.

Am trying to pair plantronics voyager 520 with LG tracfone it does not work with 0000

According to the user manual for the trac phones, you pair it up like you would any other bluetooth device.

My samsung cell phone was able to find my bluetooth (plantronics voyager 520) but I dont have a passkey code to pair them.

The default passkey for a Plantronics headset is 0000

I have a plantronics 520,

Start with your headset turned off. Press the talk button on the headset. Hold it until you see the light on the headset begin to rapidly blink red, blue, red, blue, red, blue, etc. Let go, the light should continue to blink red and blue. Go into your phones blue tooth menu and search for the headset. The phone will only find the headset if the headset is in pairing mode (blinking red and blue). The pass key is 0000.

code is 0000 if that helps, I just bought the 520, I read that it pairs with two phones at the same time and which ever phone gets a call you can answer from the same headset. I am charging unit now to test. I hope it works.
