Does the power supply come on? theres a little switch on the back of the power supply it says 110 or 220. make sure its on 110. Also the red is coming from a light on the power supply or on the boards below the powersupply?

Check the power supply connections inside the tower. The move may have dislodged one or more. You should also remove and re fit the RAM sticks - make sure the power lead is dis-connected when you do this.

If the red light on Compaq Evo D510 P4 keeps on blinking and the PC wont start when you try to power your PC then whats the problem ?

Power Supply.

Weak voltage power rail, or more than one.

(There are three power rails for the Power Supply used in your computer;
1) The 3.3 Volt power rail
2) The 5 Volt power rail
3) The 12 Volt power rail.

Wires with Orange insulation carry 3.3 Volts
With Red insulation carry 5 Volts
With Yellow insulation carry 12 Volts.

Each wire is connected to one power rail in the Power Supply.
{All Black wires are Ground wires}

The Power Supply in your computer is an SMPS. Switched-Mode Power Supply,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switched-mode_power_supply )

I don't know what form factor your Power Supply is because you didn't state which model it is.
Small Form Factor (SFF)
or
Convertible Mini-Tower
or
Ultra Slim Desktop

Post additional questions in a Comment. Also state what model your Compaq Evo D510 is.

under the dash interior lite is being left on. try checking it out
after dark to see if that might be the case. also, power is
still supplied to your radio, and powers memory, could be
a short in the radio. even though the key is off.

OK...Did you replace the lamp with a Sony original? If you did, then carefully check that the door is closed properly.

My power brick light is yellow until i turn on the console then it turns red. whats wrong?

The power supply turns red when it detects a fault such as the power supply has to much current, the voltage is too high or the temperature of the unit is too high.

A few ways to trouble shoot this would be .

1. make sure the power supply is cool
2. try plugging the supply directly into the wall instead of a surge protector ,
3. if that doesnt work call 1800 4 MYXBOX and get a new power supply.

Where exactly is the fuse on a emachine t3958

The fuse on the power supply would be on the primary side (before the transformer). It's usually either under the cover, or it's in the red voltage selector switch.

But...if you have some lights on the motherboard, it's not the fuse. The power supply has to send out a couple different voltages (usually +/- 5V, and +/- 12V). If parts of the computer have power, then you probably are missing one of the voltages. You could get a voltmeter and check each one, but chances are you will just need to replace the power supply.

SR1000T won't power on

The click sound is the relay clicking when the power on. The power supply has something wrong so the protection relay is triggered and cut off power to main board. Test fans see if they are stucked and spinning smouthly. Smell if anything burn from the power supply box. Most likely, you need to change the power sup. Good luck
