Normal Light Blinking - Dishwasher not working

We have a Whirlpool GU2400XTPB1 diswasher that apppears to have stopped mid-cycle and will not work. The Normal light is blinking rapidly and all other lights are off. I have tried to push the Cancel/Drain button, and the Normal light stays lit and there is a line lit up in the upper corner of the Time Remaining area but nothing happens. If you push the Start/Resume button, nothing happens. I reset the circuit breaker, but that didn't work either. I do have the Tech Sheet, but it doesn't make sense to me. Any suggestions?

Hello - my Whirlpool 980 series dishwasher suddenly stopped working. It won't drain or fill or wash. The buttons light up when pushed, but nothing happens - except that the heating coil heats up. Any suggestions?

The LED labeled '3' is lighted and none of the buttons will start the machine. I have tried the code to run the drain pump (5xnormal button followed by start, 3 flashes, then press 'normal') but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Start/resume blinks when I hit the start button. Nothing happens no noise, just blinks. Any help will be great.

I have a Whirlpool Dishwasher Model #GU240CXTPB1. The normal light won't stop blinking. Tried turning the breaker to reset, but still blinks. No other button works.

Whirlpool dishwasher reset sequence is usually to hit the heat dry then normal then heat dry then normal buttons within 5 seconds and it usually resets.

The clean light is blinking diswasher won't start

Push these buttons in this order High temp wash > Heated dry>High temp wash >Heated dry all the lights will come on and this will reset the board and run it through a short test cycle but more than likely it will come up again,It's a failure in the heating cycle either the heater itself or the turbidity sensor which sits mounted up into the tub right behind the drain pump...hope this helps

Whirlpool gold- quiet partner III

An angel of mercy on another blog posted this solution and it worked for me as well. My Whirlpool Quiet Partner Dishwasher would not work due to the CLEAN light flashing in 7 interval sequences. I followed these steps and my dishwasher is not working perfectly...hope it works for you:

"Well for mine which is a Whirlpool Gold Model # GU2400XTPS3, I found the seq of buttons that I had to push to reset the curcuit board. I think it may of been in this forum somewhere. But I had to push - Sani Rinse, Heated Dry, Sani Rinse, Heated Dry, and then the dishwasher went through it's diagnostic cycle and then after that the light stopped blinking and the dishwasher works great. Supposily, there is a Product Tech Sheet behide the kick panel of every dishwasher, but mine was gone so I had to find the information on the internet. You might want to do a serach for the correct seq of buttons you have to push to reset the curcuit board. If you know for sure that the heating element is bad, you will have to order one. "

Blinking light on start button and no action!

Call a technician from the place you purchased it. It should still be under warranty. If not by them, then I would try the manufacturer. Warranty Job
