So, ur using the power button in the back, and then the red light turns on? Press the blue and green button on the front, and if that doesn't work, i would save up for an Xbox 360.

Turned off during a game and wont turn back on

Unplug the power cord from the unit and the wall. Allow for a minute to pass and then plug back in to the wall and console. Once you do this see if the unit turns on or not. If it does turn on with power but you get a red ring, report the ring type (how many red lights and which red lights starting from top left when system is standing.

Cleaning disc areas, now 360 won't turn on when restarted

First of all I highly recommend not opening your Xbox 360 unit unless you are certain you know what you are doing. It's very easy for someone to make a problem worse instead of better.
Have you checked the light on your power brick? It should be yellow when the console is off. When you hit the power button does it turn green, stay yellow, or turn red? If it turns red, you have a serious problem and need a qualified technician to look at your machine immediately.

FLASHING RED LIGHT ON 360

Make sure that the power supply is cool loadTOCNode(2, 'whattotry'); The red light may indicate that the power supply is too hot or it has already overheated. If that is the case, you should let the power supply cool for several hours in a well-ventilated space. Turn off the Xbox 360 console and don't turn it back on while the power supply is cooling. This will allow the power supply sufficient time to cool. As soon as the power supply has cooled off, the power supply light will change from red to orange, and you can turn the console back on.

If the power supply light is still red after you have let the power supply unit cool in a well-ventilated space, the power supply unit may require replacement. You can contact Xbox Customer Support at http://www.xbox.com/support/contact (http://www.xbox.com/support/contact) for information about how to replace the power supply.

Make sure that the power supply is plugged in correctlyFor further details go to this link

The wii wont turn off and the light stays green

Hold the power button on the console for 4 seconds, it should override everything keeping it on and the light will turn red. If this doesn't work sorry, thats all I know.

Three red lights

three red lights (no error message) - two reasons for the red lights: hardware failure or power supply unit failure.

when the three red lights is showing check the light on the power supply unit. if the light is green you console is experiencing a hardware failure. you need to send the console to MS service center or if you have no MS support in your country look for someone who knows how to repair the console or go to xbox-scene.com and look for information on how to repair the console yourself.

if the light is orange, red or no light at all, there might be a problem with the power supply unit. disconnect and reconnect the power cables from the 360 and reconnect them again. if there is an inter-cooler connected at the back of the console, remove the inter-cooler and turn on the console without the inter-cooler. try also a different wall socket and if the light on the power supply is still orange, red, or no light when you turn on the console you need to replace the power supply unit.

Red light on startup

This happened to me 2 or 3 times.I checked the power supply and found that it was loose(the one in the back of the actual 360 console)when I pushed it in properly,is worked fine,i have not got this problem at all since then.So just make sure the power supply is properly connected.
