Phone switches off when shaken

click on computer and see in the list for the c drive what is there
if you see aviation set up .exe
click on that and a tag that says run , click on run
It it is not there, click on the start icon (bottom lh task bar) and in the search bar under the programs section, type in --aviation
if it is on the computer it be revealed in the drive and file /folder where it is
click on it and click on open or run

sounds to me (seems) like weak battery
or it programmed to not use WIFI when running on wifi. on bat.
as wifi can suck such at tiny battery dry in minutes.
why not get and old CELL phone and use it and dump this old relic.

For hanging/Jam problem, few factors can be involved, First of all you have to check, how much space is being left in phone memory after installing particular applications, To check the settings, Go to settings, Memory,
Solutions:
1. Soft Reset,
Try resetting the device while hold down the End Key for few seconds, when the phone is switched off take off battery for few minutes, then try putting the battery again, It will clear the memory used by the softwares,
CAUTION: Make sure to close all running applications before performing a soft reset, since a soft reset erases all unsaved data in such applications.



2. Hard Reset
Hard reset will restore your Ipaq to factory default settings, Perform a factory or hard reset when there is a need to clear all settings, programs, and data from the RAM.

2. Then hold down the center of the 4-Way Navigation key and turn on the iPAQ again while continuing to do so
   
   3. A confirmation screen opens asking whether you want to perform a hard reset or not. SelectYes . The iPAQ will reboot with its original factory settings.

NOTE: The applications and data present on your iPAQ before performing the hard reset can be reinstalled by synchronizing your iPAQ with a computer using ActiveSync/WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center).

why are you messing with this old device?
try a new battery, oops that costs money.

why not mess with and old android phone, that has value.

First of all, you need to reset your device, and replace the configurations to a factory settings, this make the things easier.

2nd: to set a picture to wallpaper the picture need to respect the characteristics of the display, and the image need to math the display size. in your case 240 x 240 and must be in JPG format.

Use the handsfree earpiece and see if you can hear/talk via the ear piece. If you can hear then its probably a hardware problem with your phone's build in microphone. Otherwise try a hardware reset.

Hi, I have same problem. After upgrade bios to version 1.10 my ipaq h1940 don`t start windows. When switch ON appears HP logo, time line go to end, and ipaq stay block. No possible switch OFF and no starting windows.

Hold down the POWER button and press the reset hole for approx 5 seconds, then remove stylus from reset hole first, follow by release of POWER button.
