Do you know the password to your networK? sometimes it is called WEP key or wpa key. It also termed as netowrk key. this is what you need. if you have it, then you can right click on the small computer icon on your pc (lower right hand corner) and click your network and connect it will ask you to type network key. in case you dont know, what is your password, then call your router manufacturer and they will walk you thru accessing that information

Make sure you have a G plus wireless adapter in your laptop. I'm assuming you have your desktop wired directly via a network cable.
