Question about Toshiba Satellite Pro A200-EZ2204X Notebook
My toshiba laptop is running very slowly and keeps making strange noises. it beeps all the time and keeps lengthing noises e.g. the windows startup noise last nearly 10 seconds as opposed to 3 or 4. also the touchpad is not functioning properly as the pointer is very jerky on the screen. i have taken it to the tech guys at pc world who have said that it is a problem with the cd/dvd drive but it still reads fine and i cant see how that would affect the computer so much. i think it might be the hard disk thats the problem. any ideas please. thanks.
model no - PSAE4E
When any portion of the electronic package begins or is failing it can very well cause other problems. The different sections of your laptop all share power supply lines, cpu freq lines and memory lines. I agree that the hard drive could also be a culprit. Now you'll need to determine if this is an actual hard drive physical problem or is it virus' and spyware playing with the operating system. Is this what you paid that company to do? If so I'd be back there is a minute. What are the beep codes you're hearing?
