Question about HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-In-One Printer
Had computer reimaged, software reloaded. Stalls at 96% for @ 10 min then completes without any info. Printer works but no fax or scanner. Desktop shortcut and direct link to HP solution center will not open program. Error message states that no HP product has been detected and HP Solution center will shut down. All software appears to be installed but some interface seems to be missing which won't launch the program to access the fax and scan modes.
I would recommend un installing "any" HP software first, then download and install the latest driver from HPs site. You could could also try running the installer with all startup apps disabled incase there is some conflicting software. You can do this by typing in "msconfig" from start > run. Once open select "selective startup" then uncheck "load startup items". If you resort to this be sure you have unintstalled all HP software first as some HP software does run at startup. Also be sure to re-enable the startup items after troubleshooting.
