Un install IE 8 and go back to ie 7 or ie 6 and try those. It wont work with firefox or any other web browser as microsoft detects the web browser using java script or something similiar before it will do windows updates

Hi,

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I would try opening www.hotmail.com in a different browser such as mozilla firefox or google chrome. Firefox can be found at http://www.mozilla.com chrome can be found at http://www.google.com/chrome.

It seems after i have updated to IE8 all my internet shortcuts have changed from firefox to IE icons..? how can i change them back successfully to click them on firefox browser? this happens using firefox

Open Mozilla Firefox again. Enter the Tools menu and select "Options." Slide over to the "Advanced" tab and check "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup." Then click "Check now."

When I open an internet site that has forms to complete, the boxes are not lined up and there are shadows. For example: Turbotax. I can't fill out the information to create a new account.

More info would be helpful - such as your operating system (WinXP? WinVista? Win7? Linux? Mac?),
and what browser you're using (Netscape? IE6? IE7? IE8? Opera? Firefox?) but there's a decent
chance that your browser's out of date, and that the CSS (Cascading Sheet Styles) code
comprising these HTML forms isn't being properly processed by your (obsolete) browser.

IE8 will not launch with my win XP & DSL connection. Mozilla firefox works OK but cannot get toall the sites that I had with IE8 .IE8 Program starts up saying it is connecting & less than a minute...

Mozilla Firefox will get you to all the same sites as IE8. You can import (make a copy) of your IE8 Favourites/bookmarks into Firefox. In Firefox select FILE>IMPORT and follow the instructions.
To fix IE8 try the steps at this Microsoft page:

IE8 tries to load webpage and then gets

this problem can occur if the ie8 is not kept up to date. install the newest security updates for ie8 from the site
update.microsoft.com
if this doesnot solve the problem it will be better to reinstall ie8 and then try the update. or else it will be more safer and secure to use mozilla firefox. in all the above cases the important thing is stay up to date.

Farmville is not working in IE8 and I have updated Flash player, still is not working. Please help

If you are running on a 64-bit system, there is not yet a compatible flash player for ie8. There is a 64-bit ie8 available, however Farmville tends to make the browser crash. If you'd like to try that browser, it's available here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3aeda9db-b318-408a-860b-bc37bd6ab70c&displaylang=en

If you are running the 32-bit windows, or you are unsure which version you have, I would recommend using Firefox. It's a faster browser, fewer crashes and your Farmville flash will work no problem. Firefox can be downloaded here:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html

Hope that helps. :)

Since I installed Explorer 8 two months ago, I continuely have messages of "Internett Explorer 8 has encountered a problem and must shut down". I have reloaded Explorer 8 a couple of times with no luck

Try to check for updates for IE8 on MS website. If it doesn't help uninstal it and stay with IE7.

I recommend you to change your prefered browser to Google Chrome (www.google.com/chrome) or mozilla firefox (www.mozilla.com/firefox/) or Opera (http://www.opera.com/download/). All of them are much better then any IE

Run time errors with explorer, can I remove form PC and download explorer 8

Yes you can remove IE and download and install IE8. Just go to start, control panel, add and remove programs to un-install IE. http://www.ie8optimized.com/IE8/?pkw=internet%20explorer%208|&vendor=google&ocid=iSEM_G_MSNOIE8&mtcr=e|4062282459&refcd=go579736d03c&FORM=M7IE81&PUBL=GOOGLE&crea=go579736d03c

Or if you prefer, what I recommend is Mozilla Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html

I feel the Firefox is more stable, has more usable add ons, and less bloated than IE any version. I hope this helps and good luck.
