-   Memorex dvs vcr como unit model MVD4544 the cd/dvd tray will not open. There is an excersise dvd in the tray, now I cant get the tray door to open so I can take the dvd out. Memorex tech support was a joke.

The few steps they told me to try failed to get the tray door open.

Please can you tell me how to get it open.

My next step if you are not able to help me get that door open is to take the cover off the unit and try and get the cd out that way. Is there a period of time that I should leave it unplugged from the electricity as to let it discharge it so that I don't get shocked after I take the over of the unit off?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I Took the power dord out for an hr. as they said that it would re set the unit and upon plugging it back into the wall outlet that it will open. NOT.

Another tech told me to gently push/pull on the tray door while pusing the button that is supposed to open it. NOT.

Now I am stuck wondering how to get my dvd out. At this point I would liek to still use the vcr part of the unit so don't want to damage that, the cd/dvd is not ever going to work in my opionon.

-   I have plugged in the 3 coloured plugs from the digital box to the VCR, then from the VCR to the TV. However when playing on video 2 - no pictures comes out, just blue screen saying no signal. All the plugs are in correctly, the VCR is set to 3. AV2 is correct. When you push play or rewind you see the arrows but no video?-   Baylis

Hey Pat. Red Yellow White Plugs into back of MVD4544. Red Yellow and white plugs into back of TV.

If you have an older TV that has only coax cable outlet, go to Radio Shack or Best Buy and get an RF Modulator. You may need to get another set of Red Yellow White Plugs if you have a cable box.

The front connections are Video 2, if placed on the back they are Video 1. When you first turn the DVD/VCR player on, be sure to select the appropriate setting.

If you figure out how to timer record on this please let me know. No where in the 52 page book is there any info and their website is a joke.

Good Luck.
