Batch downloading multiple web pages

Looking for a way to download multiple web pages, images or other files from web sites without using a browser?

First, download and install URL2File Windows Application, which is the program we'll be using in this example (URL2File Windows Application is a product of URL2File can retrieve and save the content of a given World Wide Web URL to a local file. So, to retrieve the web page at and save it to a local file named tips.htm, run the following command from a Windows Command Prompt/DOS Box:URL2File tips.htmNote the format of the above command: URL2File followed by the web page/file address and the name of the file that you want to save the content as.The next step is to create a batch file that can call URL2File for eachfile you need to download. A Windows batch file is a text file with alist of commands, usually with the .BAT extension.Let's assume that there are three files named, and at that you need to download. To create a batch file to download above files:
  • Open Windows Notepad
  • Enter following three commands into the blank notepad (one command per file to be downloaded):URL2File
  • Save the notepad file with a name of your choice followed by .BAT ("download.bat" for example)
Now run "download.bat" from your Windows Command Prompt/DOS Box by typing:downloadand hitting ENTER. The newlycreated batch file will call URL2File three times for each of the threefiles and sequentially download them for you. To download other files, simply modify the batch file and run it again.

How to delete notepad logs

Something is running on your computer and writing to those log files. You could try booting into safe mode (F8 on startup) and see if you can delete them. There are other things you can do to delete them but they will take a lot more time to explain and do. If they are that important to delete please reply and I'll get you the info you need.

I can't get files to come up

Hi, Based on your post/description, it would seem that most of your document/aaplication file associations have been moved over to notepad. This is only possible if: 1. Somehow you have lost/deleted your word processing application and all others; 2. Virus/malware infection which changed file association; 3. Registry change/fault; 4. System/Application files corrupted. Actions you can try: a. Scan your system for virus/malware b. Apply/follow Microsoft's recommended repair/changing of file association in c. Repair/Modify/Reinstall all your applications d. Worst case scenario is you may have to reinstall your OS and of course thereafter all your applications. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

I canit open files

Change the file associations in Windows. Right click a file you wish to open and then select the OPEN WITH option and then select CHOOSE PROGRAM. If the application you wish to use is NOT in the PROGRAMS list, use the BROWSE option to locate the one you want. Check the ALWAYS USE THE SELECTED PROGRAM TO OPEN THIS KIND OF FILE option and then click OK You can do this for any other file types that are wrongly associated. It may be worthwhile finding out what caused your file associations to get messed up in the first place. You may have a virus.
