Yes, everything seems to power up, the fans, power supply, and the hard drive comes on, but it does not load any of the BIOS. I disconnected everything and took out all of the memory, but still nothing on the monitor. No BIOS loading. Thanks

No, it does not ever beep or show anything on the monitor, not even a cursor. I have cleared the cmos.

First thing to do is crack her open and unplug everything including the PCI cards and clear the CMOS via a jumper on the board then try to boot if that doesn work try taking the memory out , if it beeps then its more than likely memory, but if it still wont beep you either have a bad mainboard, powersupply or processor. Let us know :-)

My girlfriends Hp Pavilion A305W powers on then automatically powers off after it show a brief error message but also says F1 for startup. Should i press F1 and continue diagnosis?

Most probably your system is not getting your BIOS settings from your mainboard due to CMOS battery failure.

Check your CMOS 3.0v battery & replace it. Then reconfigure your BIOS settings from the CMOS setup.

Hope it helps

Was just wondering because i tried one method but didn't work for me on my hp pavilion a305w, but my question is, can hp pavilion a305w boot from usbs?

unfortunately the hp pavillion a305w bios would have to support it. you would have to go into the bios on set uo and select that boot option. but unfortunately they do not have the option to boot from usb
