your first problem is its a zenith {snicker}, The most likely reason for this is weak tubes and seeing that they are $180 + <there are 3 tubes in a rear projection TV> to replace it wouldnt be feesible to repair. HOWEVER you can try to turn the G2 up on the tubes but if it looks washed out and the whites arent wite just junk her and get you a new HD model besides HD is the upcoming standard in 2009.
