Not 100% sure about this, but I think you'll find the answer is... you don't.  In all submersible pumps that I'm familiar with, the cable is part of a unit that's sealed during manufacture so that water can't get in to the electrics.  If your cable is damaged, I think you have to replace the whole unit. Sorry! Of course, if you just want to extend the cable, you can get a waterproof connector.

Usually the manufacturer's owners manual has a part list with phone numbers and part numbers available for replacement.
If the correct part is not available, you could buy a similar sized gauge extension cord to wire in place by taking the appliance apart and securing properly.
Last but not least and certainly not recomended would be to wire in that extension cord with wire nuts and then electrical tape together. Good luck!

I burned through the electric cord on my George Foreman Grilling machine. How do I replace the damaged electric cord?

take the grill apart and remove the old wires ( label and mark colors ),, go to your local hardware store and buy a pre made plug and wire set and install to the grill.
now depending on where the cord got burned -- you can just shorten the cord and use the existing cord -- ( it will just be a bit shorter ).
you can also use a extension cord and just cut the one end off of it and wire that to the grill.
or you can just cut the burned through part off and use **** connectors to put it back together.

Unable to install. Does it have an electric hookup because it did not come with an electric cord.

Hi, You have to take the cord off of your old dw and install on the new. In the right front corner of your new dw is a metal box. Take the cover off and install your cord using wire nuts. This should get you going. Hope this helps.

There should be a hole in the pulley that holds the starter rope in the starter/recoil unit. If you have taken the machine apart to that point, yes, there is only one way to reassemble it.
You will have to wind the starter recoil without the rope installed on itabout 5-6 complete revolutions to "pre-load" tension on the spring-steel starter spring, then lock the pulley in place, insert the pull rope and tie it off so it can come back out and then release the pulley, letting it draw in the new starter cord. Make sure you have the handle installed so it will stop when it gets to the body of the engine cover.

My power cord does not fit the electrical outlet in my new apartment _ maytag Neptune electric dryer. Is there an adapter to change the cord from 3 prong to 4 prong

You need to go to a local hardware store and buy a new cord. There is an adapter but it is more exspensive than the cord and I have seen problems with them overheating because of the fine dust getting in them. Your cord is easy to replace there is a access panel that is held on by a screw where the cord goes into the machine. You will need to remove the screws holding the electric wires there will be 3 on your dryer. The 4 wire cord has an extra ground. You can put this under the screw that holds the access panel on. The two outside wire connectors on your dryer are the hot wires each carries 110v the center wire is the neutral wire and also acts as a ground on a 3 wire dryer. The 4th wire is an ground for house trailers and some areas require them as a seperate ground from the neutral. I hope this helps

The missing terminal would be a 'ground' usually apart from the other two. The blue should be hot(black on reinstall)yellow neutral(white on install) ground is green.Older electrics dealt with two wire hookups. Grounds connect to the motor metal body proper.

Replacing a fraayed and twisted power cord on a Hoover windtunnel upright

ok so I took this vaccum apart completely except for the electrical and motor systems. It seems to me that without dismantling both of these systems on the vaccum you can't replace the power cord. And I wouldn't recommend taking them apart unless you know what you are doing since replacing the power cord seems to require cutting the old power cord and soldering the new one onto the old terminals. All in all its probably easier to get a new vaccum altogether.
