SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Civilization 3 mac

Try to change the resolution to 1024x768 .

If this is not the problem. Try holding the APPLE key on your keyboard down while booting.

If this is not the issue it is probably this option in the settings:

Try setting the "don't switch res for movies" -- that's probably what
it's trying to get to 640x480 for.

It means there is an error in either the code of your OS or the game, causing it to crash.
If this was a one-time error, and you can now run the game, you shouldn't worry about a thing. If it keeps giving the error, try deinstalling, then installing the game again. If that doesn't help either, I'm afraid you'll have to reinstall your operating system. (though I've only ever seen that on Windows machines)

I hope this helps,
Yannick.

Civ 3 wont run on new Netbook

maybe your system requirments are not upto the mark. check the requirments of civilization 3 and compare with your system.or the game disk may have a problem, get it replaced if you can and try again. system requirments of civ 3>>> Macintosh:
  • MacOS 8.6 or higher or MacOS 10.0.4 or higher
  • 300MHz iMac G3 or better (500MHz preferred)
  • 64M RAM for the classic MacOS (96M preferred), 128M for MacOS X.
  • 500MB Hard disk space (650MB preferred)

Not running programs downloaded

please check the file extension,

if it's .exe(if no icons show up for the game ), mac may not support it directly, you will have to download cross over chromium from here
www.codeweavers.com/services/ports/chromium/

it doesn't guarantee that the exe will work, since mac uses .app instead of .exe

Can i play Civ II on my brand new mac?? or do i need an older mac

Civ II is a fairly old game. It seems that your PC runs Windows XP or earlier. It is likely that the site you read was correct, and your computer is too new to run it. However, you may be able to get another newer version of Civ for Mac, but check the system req's for any game you try to install. I don't know for sure if this is the case, but I hope this helps you somewhat.

Antivirus for macbook

You have to run a virus checker that is compatible with Unix, you can't run anything off the shelf. A good one for MAC is called ClamWin. Its a free download. Go to www.cnet.com, click on the sidebar for Downloads, then type in ClamWin in the search box. Download it then run it. You can't tell if you have a virus unless you run a program that tells you that you do, so try clamwin.

Please rate this solution with 4 diamonds.

Won't let civ 4 play

Did you download it illegally? Regardless, Norton sucks and you need to get rid of it. Most likely The firewall in Norton is blocking access from the program on your computer. Open Norton and Find the Firewall settings (i havent used norton in many years so i forgot where it is; Possibly udner configure or settings or something). Allow access to the program through the firewall and if you bought it then allow full internet access to it as well. Hope that helps :)
