Display the display on my sceen is off centre, there is about an inch on the left hand side that is black, and the whole bottom of the screen is lost, (ie task and start bar).. however i can run it perfectly if i plug in an additional monitor, and the driver i have installed is up to date.

Dell sx2210 how do I change the size of the screen?

  1. Navigate to the Control Panel in Windows by left-clicking on Start, followed by Settings and then choosing Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel window, open Display. Note: In Microsoft Windows , depending on how your operating system is setup, you may not see the Display icon. To correct this, click on the link on the left-hand side of the Control Panel window that saysSwitch to Classic View.
  3. In the Display Properties window, click on theSettings tab.
  4. Locate the Screen resolution slider on the left-hand side of the window. Under most circumstances, the best choice is 800 by 600 pixels or 1024 by 768 pixels, possibly higher if you're using a 19" or larger monitor. The "best" setting is highly subjective to your personal preferences.

Display on laptop screen

You may have inadvertently pressed the correct hot keys to change the display around. In the bottom right hand corner of the screen you may have an icon for your graphics. If you click, or right click you can get the properties up. You should be looking for something which refers to screen orientation ie from landscape to portrait or vice versa.

Horizontal white lines 27A43.

You have some bad capacitors. They are located very near and next to your vertical IC. I would guess you would have to replace maybe four of these! Thanks for asking!

A black line running verticall down the middle of

There is no invertor board on a plasma tv. The fault is the X address buffer board. This is located on the bottom of the screen and runs horizontally the whole width of the screen. If you remove the heatsink plate that covers the x address boards and you need to look at the screen ribbon at the same position as where the bar is (in the middle).Vary gently lift the Xbuffer ribbon lock and gently take out the ribbon.Clean the contacts very carefully with a fibre pen or an electrical cleaning fluid.Insert ribbon back and heatsink and check. Here is a picture of the board and ribbon

a 1 inch bar is associates with 1 ribbon fault. So if the bar was 3 inches in from the left of the screen, the faulty ribbon will be 3 inches in from the right working from behind the TV. If cleaning dont cure the fault, then the Buffer IC will be blown and order a new centre buffer board (you can buy off Ebay)
