Broken dial/selection knob on whirlpool wfs1072aw-7.5

The knob should pull straight off or it should unscrew counter clockwise. What is the model number of the machine?

Washed any coins lately? I had a front loading washer and when mine did that it was still under warranty so the service came out and pulled a quarter out of the drain trap. If you not sure where that is contact me

My zanussi TC7103 s dryer , timer dial is very stiff, and now sometimes sticks when on so that the dryer just keeps going and does not automatically switch off.

i think the timer knob will be binding in the facia panel. you could try working some washing up liquid round the knob to free it up (not oil) the timer may still be damaged but freeing the knob is worth a try a new timer varies from around £37

The transfers on the front of my cooker have come off

I FOUND THIS ON ANOTHER SITE, BUT HAVE NOT YET TRIED IT.
Had the same problem - you can't buy transfers from the oven maker but you can make your own - I bought laser Water Transfer decal paper (£13 for 10 sheets of A4 clear) - made up my dials in powerpoint (test print them for fit, layout etc on normal paper) then printed them on the decal paper and put them on the facia (ensure clean before application). A good start is to scan your instruction book (it has the original dials in it). Let them dry fully. Mine went on 8 months ago and still there (onto stainless steel). A little work and only a tenner in cost ... forget getting new facia that's probably what they want :)

Wash cycle dial wont turn...will still push in and pull to start

We have a GE WJRR4170 washer, with the same problem. At first I thought I might have to unscrew the entire control panel just to replace the knob. However, replacing the knob turns out to be easy.

Right behind the knob, holding it in place, is a nylon/plastic retainer clip. If you pull out the knob (into the "start" position), you will get easier access to the retainer clip. You can use a flathead screwdriver to push the clip out. The knob then will slide easily off the metal stem. A GE replacement knob costs $9 or $10, depending on the source.

Shame on GE, but the knob is designed terribly. The part of it that engages the dial has eight, flimsy plastic teeth. At any time, four of these are supposed to engage four little slots in the dial. However, the way the knob is designed, there will be a lot of wear and tear on these plastic teeth, so they'll wear out on every single machine.

Good luck to the many people who will have this problem!

Indesit w1 13 reset

If your washer has some black spots on timer dial then set your dial pointer to one of these spots to reset programme.

Then try it again, if it still does the same thing, then you probably have a faulty control module.
Expensive!!!!!
