Do you have internet connection?
If you have, FB got blocked by your firewall or someone blocked it through your HOSTS file as a prank.

I can't login to my facebook account , the internet exployer says that this web page cannot be accessed

Facebook has become an integral part of many people's daily lives by keeping them connected to friends and family, which can make not being able to get on the site quite frustrating. Facebook does experience occasional downtime and other issues, but if you're consistently having problems accessing it, a browsing filter, firewall or outdated software could be the culprit.

Browser Requirements:

You may have problems accessing Facebook if you haven't upgraded your Internet browser in awhile. As of 2011, Facebook recommends using Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3 or Safari 4 for the best user experience. Updates to these browsers are free and can be found at the companies' websites. Some older computers may not be able to run the latest browser version and, therefore, have trouble displaying Facebook and other sites correctly.

Home Blocks:
Home computers also have tools to block certain websites; parents often install them to keep kids' Web activity under control. If this is your situation, you will have to talk to Mom and Dad about unblocking Facebook for you. If you have a PC with multiple user accounts, the "admin" is often the only account with permission to install or uninstall filtering software and extensions; you'll need to be logged into this account to change a filter's settings
.
Firewalls:

Many computers and their antivirus programs now enable firewalls by default. Firewalls help protect your computer from malicious viruses and software, but sometimes they block access to sites you legitimately want to access. If you suspect your firewall is limiting your Facebook access, check the settings in Windows' Control Panel or in the program that enables the firewall, such as your antivirus software or wireless router software. Making the settings more permissible could solve the problem.

I hope you find it very helpful.

The server down maitenance.firewall mabe blocking access to port 9339.. please help me so that i can play again to poker zynga... thank you..

If the familiar Facebook main page is displaying and says Down for Maintenance, that means you must wait for Facebook to be done messing around with stuff before you can log back in.
If you get a browser error that may also indicate simply that Facebook the website is down, but it seems to be working for me.
If you believe that a port is being blocked, try clicking Windows logo at bottom left --> open Control Panel --> open Windows Firewall --> Disable Windows Firewall.
Do NOT leave the firewall disabled. I HIGHLY recommend turning it back on, but after disabling try going to Facebook.com. If it works that means it is a problem with your firewall. And I would then recommend keeping Windows Firewall disabled and installing a 3rd party firewall.
Thanks for using FixYa

I've been on FB for years with no problem. Today, I can only go to my Profile when someone emails me a link. I absolutely cannot get on my FB home page no matter how I try to get there. Windows has...

This stills sounds like a firewall issue, you will need to add facebook to your safelist on your firewall and also you are not running any anti-virus that blocks sites from the list on your firewall as both apps work off lists that are shared.

The school's network has a firewall setup to prevent students going into facebook and other restricted sites. You are not suppose to bypass it.
If you want to play online games etc. the do it from your home.

There are many "proxy" available to access those blocked website or bypass firewall. you may find free proxy and install it on your system.

if you are using comodo firewall then make sure you didnt click block to something you want. Some of the firewalls available require knowledge from the use to work correctly. How do i unblock netgear firewall

Lets say this is blocking Facebook:

the URL would be: http://www.facebook.com

and it would be blocked.

Instead, type the http part with an extra s, so that it's https://

So now it would be https://www.facebook.com

Often times this will unblock. Just the only annoying thing with this is that you'll have to keep adding "s" to the end of it every time you visit a new page, but it's better than nothing.

Hope this helps!
