Yes but do not run the bilge pump through it. Bilge pumps should always be run directly to the battery with and in line fuse or breaker as per American Boat and Yacht and Council.

75hp Mercury 4 stroke boat motor doesn't charge battery. Diagnostics say check battery connections and turn off switches. Battery charge dropped 3 v in 30 minutes.

Does the battery voltage drops below 11.8v with battery disconnected?
If yes: replace the battery
If NO: disconnect the charge regultor in the engine. See then if the voltage still drops.
If it doesn't drop anymore: replace the regulator!

I have a bass tracker 2010 Pro Team 175 with a 50 HP Mercury motor. Phenomenal boat. Fished this past weekend and boat would not start when I went to return home. Nothing, no turn over of ignition,

check battery condition with a load test. check charge rate from motor
clean battery terminals and posts to shiny clean
It has been known for batteries to deplete from electrolysis when stationary in the water so ensure that all cables are in good condition
fit a circuit breaker switch on a battery terminal to switch it off when stationary

Something in my boat is drawing juice how do i start?

Do you have a Lowrance GPS system with an external GPS antenna?
if so this is your culprit if your system is a bit older and has a separate power lead for the antenna. The antenna power cable needs a simple on/off toggle switch to turn off the power so it doesn't constantly drain your battery.
Beyond that you may need a master power switch that shuts off power to all your electronics.

New battery just put boat in water always had a solar powered charger on battery took it off about a week ago today went to start boat battery dead. I do not know if it has altanator or what have a friend...

You will need to do 3 tests:
1 - you must find out if you have a short in the wiring: disconnect the + cable from the battery and put an ampermeter in there to close the circuit; if a current is detected it means that you have a short and it will drain the battery. To locate the short start disconnecting wires and look at the meter - when you will disconnect the wire that goes to the failed wire or part the current will stop flowing; find the faulty part and fix or replace it.
2 - you must find out if the alternator is charging the battery correctly: start the motor, wait for half an hour then measure the voltage on the battery. If it's below 14.1 volts then the alternator is failing and it will have to be replaced.
3 - you must find out if the battery is in good working order: after the second test has finished shut down the engine and disconnect the battery; wait one hour and measure it -if the voltage on it has dropped to below 11.8 volts then the battery has aged and it's no longer holding the charge so replace it.

My garmin nuvi 770 won't turn on, either on switch or car 12V plug. What can I do now?

Holding the switch does not always work. The problem is that the Garmin batteries wear out very quickly and if you don't charge them every few days they drain completely and the voltage drops to zero. The problem is the brilliant Garmin engineers designed the Nuvi 700s so that the charging circuit doesn't activate when you plug it in if the battHolding the switch does not always work. The problem is the brilliant Garmin engineers designed the Nuvi 700s so that the charging circuit doesn't activate when you plug it in if the battery voltage is zero. See the Catch 22? Also, even if you replace the battery, if the new battery is not already charged, you are in the same boat! I solved it by taking the Nuvi apart and zapping the battery with 5 volts across the red and black terminals. It's very difficult because the plug has tiny holes smaller than a typical pin. You have to be very careful too because the lithium polymer battery could catch on fire or explode! I used a very low current to lessen the chance of this. After doing this for about a minute and raising the battery voltage to about 3 volts, I plugged it back in, put it back together, and it was able to charge.

New battery, new alternator, new starter. Battery

Something is draining the battery most likly a short somewhere in the electrical system. You will need to have it looked at by the garage to find the short A temporary or cheaper solution may be to disconnect the battery when not using the car. You can either fit a switch inside the car or physically disconnect it at the battery.

Hello there:
they do use some of the battery if it is wired into somthing that feeds directly off the battery i would recomend getting a battery disconnect switch this way when you turn off the switch the whole electrical system will be disabled. go to they have them listed on their website even though they might not be local you can get a idea of what you are going to be looking for ok?
best regards mike
