Question about Vizio P2 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
I changed the battery (bought new TV 2 months ago) but it still doesn't work. The TV set works fine if I manually turn on / off. Any idea what's going on?
You can also try to take out the batteries and push all of the buttons with the batteries out of the remote. Then put the batteries back in and push the power button on the remote. If this doesnt work press the two TV buttons at the same time and the remote should be fine.

Our Vizio remote control quit working properly - only certain buttons would work. I replaced the batteries and nothing changed. My husband took the batteries out completely and left them out overnight. When he put the batteries back in the remote control was back to its old self and has been working fine ever since. Try this.

Reset the remote control and the TV at the same time and this may work. Step 1; First unplug the TV from the wall/surge protector. Wait 5 Min. while your wait here is step 2; You take the batteries out of the remote>then press down on every button 2 Times>replace the batteries in the remote, after the 5min. go ahead and plug the TV in and try it again. If this does not work then you need a new remote control.
