Question about GE Refrigerators
GE Side By Side GSS25WGMCC, 7 years old, up to a week ago had never had ice form on freezer's interior surfaces, had never had to defrost
Excessive mositure forming in freezer, causing ice to form on all interior surfaces of freezer. Compressor is running constantly.
Temperature setting for both frig and freezer set to 5. Have had computer board replaced 3 days ago. Ice still forming on freezer interior surfaces and compressor still running constantly.
I had the same problem and i replaced the defrost heater and it worked fine for about one month but now having the same issue. Most of the time from what I have heard it is the defrost heater (about $60 part). I might have another issue going on with mine like a defrost thermostat. Your defrost heater is right under the panel on the inside of the freezer section. remove white panel on back side of freezer section and remove two screws and two wires and replace it and you should be fine.
