You need to use your Windows 2000 install cd to go into the recovery console, in other words boot from the cd and when it get to where it asks if you want to install windows or repair it using the recovery console, then press R - DO NOT DO A WINDOWS REPAIR INSTALLATION - just pay attention, it will be the first screen to come up when the cd finishes booting. Log into the windows install that it shows you, when you get to the command prompt type in checkdsk /r and it will repair your drive. hope this solves your problem.
