Question about Computers & Internet
Didn't turn on my webcam for months & when i try to on my webcam on skype, found out not working at all. Discovered a messege "A webcam was not found or is not working properly". It was fine last time I used it. What might have caused the trouble?
The trouble can be caused by many things - software installation and deinstallation, driver problem or hardware failure (cable, camera itself).
If you are using Windows - can you see the camera in the Device Manager?
(To get there, right-click on My Computer, choose Manage. Look in Imaging Devices)
Do you see a red "x" or a yellow question mark?
A red "x" tells you that the Operating System doesn't know this device at all, a yellow question mark usually indicates a driver problem.
If this did not solve your problem, just come back here and leave a post with your findings. It would also be helpful to know what Operating System you are using and the model of your camera.
Let me know - I'm happy to help!
